Seminar on Megaproject Leadership

Theme: KHEOPS in partnership with UTS School of Built Environment Centre for Informatics Research and Innovation (CIRI) and UTS Business School organizes a seminar about leadership lessons on Megaprojects. Authors will present new trends identified in the managing of megaprojects and discuss lessons learned from the personal views of the 16 megaproject leaders interviewed for the book.

 

This seminar is held following the launch of the book : Drouin, N., Sankaran, S., Van Marrewijk, A., & Müller, R. (Eds.). (2020). Megaproject Leaders: Reflections on personal life stories. Edward Elgar Publishing. A launch in Quebec is planned for the spring.

PROGRAM

The webinar will be based on a two-year research study conducted by four professors (Nathalie Drouin from KHEOPS, Canada; Shankar Sankaran from UTS, Australia; Alfons van Marrewijk from Vrije University in the Netherlands; and Ralf Müller of BI Norwegian School in Oslo). The researchers analysed stories collected from 16 megaproject leaders from 10 countries compiled by 18 well-known international academics, including Dr. Daphne Freeder, Professor Stewart Clegg and Professor Shankar Sankaran from UTS.
